ARCHITECT - HADOOP

This is a leadership role that will help define our ground-breaking approach to Big Data analysis. The successful candidate is expected to participate in defining architectural and functional specifications and work closely with block-IO developers. He or she will also lead a team to demonstrate how our improved hardware can more effectively balance network and IO throughput for MapReduce and HDFS functions. QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in installing, configuring, testing Hadoop ecosystem from ground up, including both node hardware and software configurations.
  • Experience in performance benchmarking and understanding of both hardware and software bottlenecks in system design.
  • Deep understanding of data mining algorithms.
  • Ability to process large sets of structured, semi-structured and unstructured data and supporting systems application architecture.
  • Familiar with data architecture including Hadoop information architecture, data modeling and data mining, machine learning and advanced data processing.
  • Understanding of noSQL.
  • Familiarity with low-level block-IO drivers for NVMe and NVMe-oF is a plus.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Master’s degree with at least 5-year work experience.
  • Ph.D degree with a qualified professional background.
