This is a leadership role that will help define our ground-breaking approach to Big Data analysis. The successful candidate is expected to participate in defining architectural and functional specifications and work closely with block-IO developers. He or she will also lead a team to demonstrate how our improved hardware can more effectively balance network and IO throughput for MapReduce and HDFS functions. QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in installing, configuring, testing Hadoop ecosystem from ground up, including both node hardware and software configurations.
Experience in performance benchmarking and understanding of both hardware and software bottlenecks in system design.
Deep understanding of data mining algorithms.
Ability to process large sets of structured, semi-structured and unstructured data and supporting systems application architecture.
Familiar with data architecture including Hadoop information architecture, data modeling and data mining, machine learning and advanced data processing.
Understanding of noSQL.
Familiarity with low-level block-IO drivers for NVMe and NVMe-oF is a plus.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Master’s degree with at least 5-year work experience.
Ph.D degree with a qualified professional background.
